Shibari Sir: handmade kink gear, made with love for the community

We are a small, two-person team making leather kink gear and kink furniture by hand in Australia. Everything we make starts with one question: what do people actually want?

Shibari Sir

Shibari Sir has been part of the Kink, BDSM, Shibari and Kinbaku world since the early 2000s. Over the years, he has been lucky to train with some amazing teachers and instructors, and he is still learning and evolving. He also runs kink and Shibari events.

By trade, he is a saddler. He has made kink gear under different brands for many years. Two years ago, he started making kink gear and kink furniture under the Shibari Sir name.

Nirnamay

Nirnamay, Shibari Sir's partner, joined the workshop this year, and it started with a dog.

Nola, our six-year-old "puppy," destroyed and ate one of Shibari Sir's favourite leather rigger's harnesses. Luckily, it was natural veg-tan leather. Nirnamay redesigned it and remade it from scratch.

She found she loved working with leather. With her ADHD energy and her love of fashion, the ideas have not stopped coming since.
